Teen Dating Abuse Awareness is a program to stem abuse before it starts by alerting teens to what is acceptable behavior and what is not. As many as one in eight teens are victims of dating abuse. By recognizing signs of abuse, they can help their friends and themselves. Through multi-media methods given by well-trained and non-threatening presenters, the teens learn how to safely end abusive relationships. This program is geared to tenth grade aged teens of both genders and is offered to any group interested in stopping the rising tide of abuse.
Trained volunteers who conduct the sessions openly, honestly, and non-judgmentally.
If you'd like to be trained as a volunteer presenter, or if you'd like more information about bringing this program into your children's school, contact Elise at the NCJW office (404-843-9600).
